Welcome to the University of Plymouth Yacht Club, a student-run sports club at the University of Plymouth catering for beginners and experienced sailors alike. UPYC were awarded the “UPSU Club of the Year, 2016/ 2017”.

UPYC own two J80 keelboats and are proud to offer a full calendar of events for members from general sessions for all abilities, theory and practical courses, an international racing calendar, socials and much more. Marina Clean

On Wednesday 4th February 2019, we carried out a marina clean at Queen Anne’s Battery as part of the University’s ‘Green Week’. Beach Clean

On Sunday 14th October, we ran a Beach Clean in collaboration with ‘Plymouth Beach Clean Volunteers’. Our members spent an afternoon at Mount Batten Beach clearing up litter and other unnatural objects from this beautiful beach.
